Hon'ble Supreme Court held that the jurisdiction of FIR filed by the Sushant Singh Rajput's father is correct, and allowed CBI investigation in the matter, and further prompted that Mumbai Police to handover all the evidence to the CBI and cooperates with them in investigation.

As Sushant Singh Rajput found dead in his flat at Mumbai, and in prior stage it was supposed to be based on the core issue of Nepotism and that leads to suicide of SSR, but when Sushants father filed FIR against Rhea Chakraborti in Bihar it attract the political rounds too.
Many fans of Sushant Singh Rajput and many Media Hounses created pressure for transfer the case to the CBI for further investigation.
On 19th, Aug 2020 Hon'ble Supreme Court allowed to handover case to the CBI and directs Mumbai Police to handover all evidence relating to the case and cooperate with the CBI to investigate further. There after Home Minister of the state of Maharashtra reconfirmed for the cooperates to the CBI in matter.
